Cooking several filets, I turned the heat down to savor the juices so I had to leave them on the grill a little longer. They tasted great, but I thought they were a little chewy. Any ideas?
Don’t be shy. Turn the heat up and the get the job done. They’ll still be juicy and you’ll get to the table sooner.
When are you supposed to apply steak sauce? During cooking or after?
Depends on what you’re using. A-1 is traditionally used after cooking but some of the steak sauces we sell are best applied during cooking. For instance, try Dale’s Steak Seasoning before and during cooking. Best thing is to experiment and let us know what you like. Submit ideas on the Recipes page on this web site.
